The Story

"Painting the World with Flowers" is a deeply personal piece rooted in a mother’s memory.

The title comes from a phrase the artist's daughter used to say when she was a little girl: that her mission in life was to "paint the world with flowers." In this 120cm x 100cm portrait, J.O.A brings that innocent, powerful vision to life. The young girl looks directly at the viewer with wide, clear eyes, surrounded by a vibrant explosion of colorful blossoms that seem to grow from her very presence.
